A Photographic Detour — Snapshots from Japan

Although this blog is mostly about 3D, I sometimes like to take my camera out into the real world to train my eye in areas such as light, form and texture. On a recent trip to Japan, I took a Ricoh GR IIIx with me. Its fixed 40 mm equivalent made me more selective with fewer throwaway shots and more considered scenes.

I like to imagine how I would rebuild some of these scenes in 3D later, but for now, they stand alone.
